Rise & Grind coffee started as a simple idea for a logo and turned into an entire collection of coffee packaging and branding for an actual coffee shop. Inspired by coffee cans from the 1950s, Rise & Grind coffee is a mix of classic and modern design.
Holy Hog BBQ
Holy Hog BBQ reflects what BBQ restaurants are all about: messy, bib-wearin’, finger-lickin’, no-frills, and straight up deliciously good food. The logo was designed to be distressed and unpolished, with fun, messy typography that is repeated throughout the branding. Tongue-in-cheek sayings and catchphrases are also used throughout the branding to carry on the messy and unrefined vibe of the restaurant.
Victory Airlines branding was inspired by the legend airlines of the past: Pan Am and Trans World Airlines. The entire branding of this airline was designed to incorporate a vintage airline aesthetic with a modern flair. Tipping my hat to 1950s color schemes, I incorporated baby blues, peaches, and red-oranges throughout the branding. Fun elements such as bow tie and mustache pins were included to remind us of a time when flying was a classy affair.
Orlando Brewing is the oldest brewery in Central Florida. They pride themselves by being the only USDA certified organic brewery, using only the finest pesticide-free ingredients in each craft beer. They also are strongly tied to their community, hosting free events, fund raisers, live music, and free tours of the brewery. Inspired by old-school beer labels from the 1800s, mixed with classic and modern design, Orlando Brewing’s branding reflects it’s legacy, permanence, and connection to the community.
The Founding Fathers Collection
The founding fathers collection is a series of biographies on Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and Thomas Jefferson. Each cover features a different color scheme with a typographic emphasis on each founding father’s name.
The creation of two album covers for Adele were designed in mind of Adele’s feminine, yet strongly willed personality. The design for her debut album, Adele 19, showcases these attributes, which are illustrated with flowers and feathers, contrasted by a photo of a serious-looking Adele. Her second album, Adele 21, was designed to communicate her darker, tumultuous and emotional track listing, represented by an ominously stormy sky surrounding Adele’s face.
This WIRED magazine layout is a redesign of an article for the e-commerce website, Etsy. Etsy focuses on selling handmade or vintage items,as well as art & craft supplies. For this layout I combined WIRED's design aesthetic with the whimsical, handmade look that Etsy strives for.
